FP98: Import Web Does Not Import Navigational Structure

Last reviewed: March 18, 1998

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FrontPage 98 for Windows

SYMPTOMS

When you import an existing Web from a disk-based Web that contains a navigational structure, the navigational structure will not be imported and appears to be lost.

CAUSE

The import wizard will only import existing content and regenerate files required for the FrontPage Server Extensions. The file that contains the navigational structure is not imported by the Import Wizard because it contains configuration information

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, open the disk-based Web in FrontPage, and then publish the Web under a new name on the Personal Web Server. This will regenerate the navigational structure information.
