SYMPTOMSWhen you view a HyperText Markup Language (HTML) document that contains hover buttons in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, you will see a gray rectangle on the page and the following message will appear on the Web browser's status bar.
Exception: Java.Lang.ArraystoreException CAUSEThe problem occurs when the Java Virtual Machine in Internet Explorer 4.0 displays Java controls at a color depth of 32-bits per pixel.
RESOLUTIONYou can work around this behavior by using one of the following methods:
Method 1: Reduce the color depth to less than 32-bits per pixel
Method 2: Use a graphic rather than the hover button
Method 3: Upgrade to Internet Explorer 4.01
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. This problem was corrected in Internet Explorer 4.01.
