File Extensions Are Present in Programs' MRU Lists

SYMPTOMS

Even if you choose to hide file extensions, the extensions are shown in the most recently used (MRU) lists in Microsoft Pocket Word and Microsoft Pocket Excel.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

After you delete a Pocket Word document, the file name and extension appears in the MRU list. If a file has not been deleted, it is listed without the extension. Pocket Excel always shows the file extension in its MRU list.
