Desktop Computer Does Not Play Disconnect Wave File

SYMPTOMS

When you disconnect your Handheld PC (H/PC) from your desktop computer, you may not hear the disconnect sound on the desktop computer. The sound is played on the H/PC.

CAUSE

The sound is not played on the desktop computer when you disconnect by clicking Close on the File menu, or by clicking the X in the upper right corner of H/PC Explorer.

RESOLUTION

If you want to hear the disconnect sound on the desktop computer, suspend the H/PC and then detach the serial cable or break the infrared line of sight. By default, these methods play the Pegdisc.wav file located in the Program Files\HPC Explorer folder on the desktop computer.
