SYMPTOMS

When you perform a backup using the Backup tool in H/PC Explorer, no backup (.stg) file may exist on your computer when the backup process is complete.

CAUSE

Before the backup process finishes, the Backup tool checks the temporary folder for temporary backup files and deletes any that are found. If you back up to the folder declared as the TEMP folder in the environment, the new backup file may be deleted, along with any temporary backup files.

RESOLUTION

Select a folder other than the TEMP folder as the target folder for your backup file.
