SUMMARY

The Auto Suspend feature in Windows CE automatically suspends your Handheld PC (H/PC) after a period of continuous inactivity.

MORE INFORMATION

To save battery power, you can adjust the Auto Suspend setting. You can also configure the Auto Suspend feature to activate when you are using an external power source. Your H/PC does not automatically suspend while it is connected to a desktop computer.

To configure the Auto Suspend feature, follow these steps:

  1. Double-tap the Power icon in Control Panel, and then tap the Power Off tab.

  2. In the On Battery Power Suspend After box, tap the setting you want.

  3. If you want to enable the Auto Suspend feature to activate when you use an external power source, tap the "Enable suspend while on external Power" check box to select it, and then tap a time in the Suspend After box.

NOTE: There is no way to disable the Auto Suspend feature from activating when your H/PC is running on battery power.
