The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows CE version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

You cannot synchronize files with a second desktop computer using a guest relationship.

CAUSE

A Handheld PC (H/PC) can synchronize files only with the computer with which it has formed a primary relationship.

RESOLUTION

To synchronize files with a second computer, the H/PC must form a new primary relationship with that computer. This replaces the original primary relationship. After you have formed the new primary relationship, you can synchronize files with the second computer.

When you return to the original computer, you must reestablish the primary relationship with that computer. Changing host computers repeatedly has no adverse effects.
