SYMPTOMS

When you synchronize your Handheld PC (H/PC) with your desktop computer, you may receive the following error message:

   Hpcexpl caused a stack fault in module <unknown>

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Microsoft Outlook 97 is running on your desktop computer and is connected to a Microsoft Exchange e-mail server when you synchronize your H/PC with your desktop computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, quit Outlook 97 before you synchronize your H/PC with your desktop computer. To do so, click Exit And Log Off on the File menu.
