SYMPTOMSWhen you try to start Internet Explorer, you may receive the following error message:
Error: Out of memory. Close some programs, and then try again. CAUSEThis problem can occur if virtual memory has been disabled.
RESOLUTIONTo enable virtual memory, follow these steps:
MORE INFORMATIONIf virtual memory is disabled, Internet Explorer (and other programs that create large temporary files) may not start or may generate error messages, even if there is enough RAM available. Such programs check for the ability to create a swap file as needed and may not run if this cannot be done. This error message can also occur if available disk space is low.
