SYMPTOMSWhen you share a folder for Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) or File Transfer Protocol (FTP) access using Personal Web Server Administration, the folder may not appear to be shared when viewed in Windows Explorer.
CAUSEFolders shared using Personal Web Server Administration may not display the shared icon in Windows Explorer.
RESOLUTIONTo cause a folder shared for HTTP or FTP access to display the shared icon in Windows Explorer, share the folder using Windows Explorer instead of Personal Web Server Administration. To do so, follow these steps:
