SYMPTOMS

When you attach a text document to an outgoing mail message, the following error message may be displayed:

   The file is too large to insert. Send the file as an attachment.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the text file you are attempting to send is greater than 26K in size.

RESOLUTION

Open the document in Notepad and paste the contents into the outgoing mail message body.
