The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to download a file from a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Web site in Internet Explorer version 3.0 for Macintosh by clicking a hypertext link on a Web page, Internet Explorer does not prompt you to specify where you want to save the file.
CAUSEBy default, Internet Explorer saves files that you download from FTP sites to the location specified in the Internet Config settings, instead of prompting you to specify a location.
RESOLUTIONTo cause Internet Explorer to prompt you to specify where you want to save a file downloaded from an FTP Web site, follow these steps:
