SYMPTOMS

When you click Options on the View menu in Internet Explorer, click Options, click Connections, enable the Connect To The Internet As Needed option, and then click Add, you may receive the following error message:

   Could not run Icwan16.exe or one of its components

CAUSE

The Add button is designed to start the Internet Connection Wizard (ICW). This program does not run in Windows NT.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
