The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you access a file from a File Transfer Portocol (FTP) client such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, the time stamp may not match the time stamp of the file when you access it directly from the server.
CAUSEInternet Information Server, Peer Web Server, and Personal Web Server all use Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) as the default time zone for file time stamping. The FTP client reads the actual time stamp in GMT. Files saved and shared using the FTP Server service may not match the current time because of adjustments from GMT or daylight savings time changes.
RESOLUTIONIf you require the FTP client to use your local time zone, configure the computer's time as follows:
