Dr. Watson Error in Iexplore.exe When Quitting Internet Explorer

SYMPTOMS

When you quit Internet Explorer after hosting an Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) file, you may receive the following Dr. Watson error message:

   An application error has occurred and an application error log is
   being generated.
   IEXPLORE.exe

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader ActiveX control. To do so, contact Adobe.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
