Multiple Instances of Internet Explorer Setup Are Possible

SYMPTOMS

Multiple instances of Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) can be run from the same set of redistributable media on the same computer. If the Setup program is run twice on the same computer from the same redistributable media, then two instances of setup will be running. Any changes you make on the later setup will over write any settings setup in the previous setup.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit version 3.2a. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
