SYMPTOMSWhen you browse the Internet using Internet Explorer, the text may seem to be missing on Web pages with white backgrounds.
CAUSEThis behavior can occur if you are using one of the High Contrast Black color schemes in Windows. If this is the case, you do not see the text on some Web pages with white backgrounds because Windows is changing the text to white.
RESOLUTIONChange the Text and Background colors used in Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
Internet Explorer 4.0
Internet Explorer 3.0
MORE INFORMATIONWhen a Web page has the <bgcolor> (background color) Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) tag set to white and does not specify a color for the font, the font color defaults to white when you are using one of the High Contrast Black color schemes.
STATUSMicrosoft is researching this problem and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
