SYMPTOMSAfter you install the Task Scheduler component, scheduled tasks may appear in the Scheduled Tasks folder.
CAUSEWhen the Task Scheduler component is installed, tasks that you previously scheduled in System Agent (a component included with Microsoft Plus! for Windows 95) are copied to the Scheduled Tasks folder, even if System Agent is disabled.
RESOLUTIONIf the Scheduled Tasks folder contains tasks that you do not want to run on a regular basis, disable the tasks, remove the tasks, or disable Task Scheduler. To disable a task in the Scheduled Tasks folder, follow these steps:
