SYMPTOMSActive Desktop items that host Java programs may stop working when Internet Explorer 4.0 is offline.
CAUSEThis behavior can occur if the Java program has been removed from the Temporary Internet Files folder.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, follow these steps:
MORE INFORMATIONActive Desktop items are retrieved from the cache when Internet Explorer 4.0 is offline. If the cache reaches its maximum size, Java programs may be automatically removed from the cache to make room for current downloads. If an Active Desktop item hosts a Java program that has been removed from the cache and Internet Explorer 4.0 is offline, the Active Desktop item stops working.
