SYMPTOMSWhen you disable image downloading in an Active Desktop item's subscription properties, images are still downloaded and displayed when the Active Desktop item's subscription is updated.
CAUSEThe Active Desktop is refreshed every time an Active Desktop item's subscription is updated. When this occurs, the Active Desktop downloads and displays the images for the Active Desktop item even though image downloading is disabled in the Active Desktop item's subscription properties.
RESOLUTIONTo prevent images from being downloaded when an Active Desktop item's subscription is updated, you must disable image downloading in both the subscription and in Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
