File Menu in Printers Folder Displays Server Properties Twice

SYMPTOMS

When you install Internet Explorer on a computer running Windows NT 4.0, the File menu in the Printers folder may display two Server Properties commands.

CAUSE

This problem can occur when the Printers folder shell extension from Internet Explorer attempts to merge the Server Properties command into the File menu.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
