SYMPTOMSWhen you use Internet Explorer to download a file from the Internet, a .wav (Windows sound) file may not be played when the download is complete.
CAUSEThis behavior can occur if a .wav file is not associated with the Asterisk sound event.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, associate a .wav file with the Asterisk sound event. To do so, follow these steps:
MORE INFORMATIONThe Asterisk sound event is used by Internet Explorer to indicate that a file download is complete. By default, the Chords.wav file located in the Windows\Media or Winnt\Media folder is associated with the Asterisk sound event.
