Sound File Loops with "Close Program" Dialog Box Open

SYMPTOMS

If a Windows sound (.wav) file is being played when you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Close Program dialog box, a short part of the sound file may be played continuously.

RESOLUTION

To stop the sound file from being played continuously, click Cancel in the Close Program dialog box, or click the sound file that is being played and then click End Task.

To prevent the problem from occurring, do not press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Close Program dialog box while a .wav file is being played.
