Error Message During Internet Explorer Plus 4.0 Setup

SYMPTOMS

When you are browsing or upgrading components from the Internet Explorer Plus 4.0 CD-ROM, you may receive the following error message:

   Internet Explorer could not open the Internet sight
   <cd-rom>:\win95\eng\demobin\closeie.isk
   Access is denied

When this occurs, you may be unable to quit Internet Explorer Setup. You may also receive a desktop recovery message.

CAUSE

This error message can occur if you remove the Internet Explorer Plus 4.0 CD-ROM, or if the Internet Explorer Plus 4.0 CD-ROM is removed from the shared network drive you are using.

RESOLUTION

Insert the Internet Explorer Plus 4.0 CD-ROM in the appropriate CD-ROM drive. If you cannot insert the CD-ROM for some reason, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Close Program dialog box, click LECD, and then click End Task.
