SUMMARYYou must remove older versions (BETA versions) of Internet Information server and then reboot before installing an Internet Information Server release version.
MORE INFORMATIONOnce you remove the BETA version of Internet Information Server a dialog box appears with "Microsoft Internet Information server 1.0 updated successfully". However, the message does not inform you to reboot the server. If you have any Internet Information Server files open while removing the beta version of Internet Information Server, those files are not removed; however, they are marked for removal during the next reboot. Therefore, you must reboot the server before installing the new version of Internet Information Server. To remove your BETA version of Internet Information Server:
