The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen using the Search.htm file to search a Web site, documents that have been removed are shown in the result set.
CAUSEThe FrontPage search WebBot caches the information on the Web site for performance reasons.
RESOLUTIONTo refresh the data used by the search engine, in Visual InterDev, right- click the project file and select Recalculate Links in the Shortcut menu. NOTE: If Recalculate Links fails to update the list, the files that contain the search information can be deleted, and Recalulate Links will re-create the files. On the Web server, delete the "all*.*" files located in the projects Vti_txt\Default.wti directory. Also delete the "*.btr" files located in the Vti_pvt folder. Click Recalculate Links to rebuild the files.
STATUSThis behavior is by design.
