At present, the applications key has no function; it is reserved for future implementation in the Windows 95 environment. This key will function similar to the right (secondary) mouse button in certain applications. Also, in some applications, it will be configurable. The ALT and SHIFT keys pressed in conjunction with the applications key will provide access to the toolbar, automated macro tasks, properties dialog boxes, and many other features. There will not be operating system support to use the application key as a modifier key.
