IntelliType 1.1 MouseKeys Setting Not Saved in Windows NT 3.51

SYMPTOMS

When you start Windows NT Workstation 3.51, the "Control the pointer with the numeric keypad on your keyboard" option on the MouseKeys tab in IntelliType Manager may not be enabled, even though it was enabled when you shut down your computer.

RESOLUTION

To enable the "Control the pointer with the numeric keypad on your keyboard" option, the "NUM LOCK on at Startup" option must be enabled. To enable this option, follow these steps:

  1. In Program Manager, double-click Microsoft Input Devices.

  2. Double-click IntelliType Manager.

  3. Click the MouseKeys tab.

  4. Click the "Control the pointer with the numeric keypad on your keyboard" check box to select it.

  5. Click the "NUM LOCK on at Startup" check box to select it.

  6. Click OK.
