SUMMARY

The NEC SystemPro 3150 LT is a laptop computer with a detachable trackball that can be configured to use an internal ROM-based driver or an external loadable driver. You cannot load the Microsoft Mouse driver on this computer unless the internal driver is disabled.

MORE INFORMATION

The 3150 LT laptop computer is configured with two serial ports and an optional PCMCIA modem that can be configured as a third serial port. The external serial port is a 9-pin D-type connector configured as COM1 using IRQ 4. The internal connection to the detachable trackball is configured as COM2 using IRQ 3. The optional PCMCIA modem is configured as COM3. The IRQ that this modem uses depends on the card in use. It is possible for this port to conflict with the COM1 port (which is the port to which the Microsoft Mouse is connected).

If you are using the optional Megahertz modem, you must obtain an updated driver from NEC. This card is configured to use COM3 with IRQ 4, which conflicts with a mouse connected to COM1. You must obtain an updated modem card driver to resolve this conflict.
