Article ID: Q148136
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft IntelliPoint software version 1.1
  • Microsoft Windows operating system versions 3.1, 3.11
  • Microsoft Windows for Workgroups versions 3.1, 3.11
  • Microsoft Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Trails button on the IntelliPoint toolbar, mouse trails may not appear on the screen when you move the mouse.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you have not previously selected the Trails option in the IntelliPoint Tools & Controls tool in Control Panel. By default, the trail length setting is zero, even if you enable the Trails option from the toolbar.

RESOLUTION

Use the IntelliPoint Tools & Controls tool in Control Panel to change the trail length setting. This setting is located on the Visibility tab.
