PointerWrap Does Not Work with File Open Dialog Box Opened

SYMPTOMS

With the PointerWrap feature in IntelliPoint enabled, the mouse pointer may not wrap from one side of the screen to the other side, or from the bottom of the screen to the top or vice versa.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when a program is maximized and you open the File Open dialog box for that program.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:

  • Close the File Open dialog box.
  • Restore the program to a window, and then open the File Open dialog box.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
