Wheel Tab Is Unavailable When You Use an IBM Thinkpad

SYMPTOMS

When you install the IntelliMouse and IntelliPoint 2.0 software on an IBM ThinkPad 760CD, 760ED, or 560 series computer, the Wheel tab in the Mouse tool in Control Panel may be unavailable.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the built-in pointing device on the IBM ThinkPad 760CD or 760ED computer is enabled.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, disable the built-in pointing device. For information about disabling the built-in pointing device, see the documentation for your computer or contact IBM.
