Pointer Remains in Microsoft Excel with Vanish Feature Enabled

SYMPTOMS

When you type in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows, the mouse pointer may not disappear even though the Vanish feature is enabled in the Mouse tool in Control Panel.

CAUSE

Microsoft Excel 97 does not support the Vanish feature.

When you enable the Vanish feature, the mouse pointer disappears when you begin typing and reappears when you move your pointing device.
