Graphics Problems When Moving Mouse Cursor in 7.03 and Earlier

SUMMARY

Problems may occur in Microsoft Mouse driver versions 7.03 and earlier when you program in graphics at the same time the mouse is being moved. For example, if you are drawing a series of dots in EGA mode at the same time you move the mouse, random pixels may turn on.

This problem occurs even if the graphics update is not occurring under the mouse cursor.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Mouse drivers versions 7.03 and earlier. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Mouse driver versions 7.04 and later.

This problem can be corrected if the mouse cursor is turned off with mouse function 2 when updating the graphics screen.
