Intermittent Installation on the Packard-Bell PS/2 Port

SYMPTOMS

When the 400 dots-per-inch (dpi) Microsoft Mouse is attached to the PS/2 port of a Packard-Bell PackMate 2, PackMate 65, Excel 5, or Legend 5 computer, the mouse sometimes does not install correctly.

However, when the mouse is attached to the serial port, there are no installation problems.

RESOLUTION

If you are experiencing installation problems, contact Packard-Bell technical support for assistance.
