Office: Activating MOM Erases PowerPoint Pen Markings

Last reviewed: September 16, 1996

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Office for Windows, version 4.2, 4.3
  • Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS

During a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, if the Microsoft Office Manager (MOM) toolbar is activated, the pen markings are erased.

STATUS

This behavior is by design of PowerPoint and is not specific to activating MOM. If you switch to another application by pressing ALT+TAB, and you then minimize that application, the pen markings will be erased from a slide. (Switching to a different application is similar to changing slides, which also erases pen markings).
