SYMPTOMS

The application title bar flashes quickly as the window is being maximized or restored when you use the full screen feature, or when you maximize or restore the application window. This occurs in the Microsoft Office applications listed at the beginning of this article.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when you do any of the following in a Microsoft Office application:

  • click Full Screen on the View menu
  • click the Full Screen button on the Full Screen toolbar
  • click the Maximize button on the application title bar
  • click the Restore button on the application title bar

This behavior is caused by the way that windows are displayed in Microsoft Windows 95. This problem is not specific to these individual applications; it also occurs in other Windows applications.
