The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Office for Windows, version 4.2, 4.3
  • Microsoft Access, version 2.0

SUMMARY

In Chapter 4 of the Microsoft Office "Getting Started" manual, under "Using Drag-and-Drop Editing," the "To use drag-and-drop editing between applications" section contains a table similar to the following:

You can drag information between applications in the following ways.

From this application Into a document in this application
   ---------------------------------------------------------------

   Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint,
                               and Microsoft Access

   Microsoft Excel Word, PowerPoint,
                               and Microsoft Access

   PowerPoint Word, Microsoft Excel,
(slide sorter view only) and Microsoft Access

This information implies that Microsoft Access version 2.0 supports drag- and-drop editing across applications (with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word). This information is incorrect. Microsoft Access version 2.0 does not support drag-and-drop editing across applications.
