OFF95: Can't Start Find Fast from Startup Folder

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Microsoft Office Find Fast Indexer shortcut in the StartUp folder, Microsoft Office Find Fast Indexer does not appear on the screen.

CAUSE

The shortcut for the Microsoft Office Find Fast Indexer that is located in the StartUp folder contains a command line switch that prevents it from being displayed at startup.

RESOLUTION

If you want to modify or create indexes for use by the Microsoft Office Find Fast Indexer, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Start button, and point to Settings.

  2. Click Control Panel.

    This will open a window for the Control Panel Folder.

  3. Double-click Find Fast.
