OFF95: Office Shortcut Bar Does Not Appear on Task List

SYMPTOMS

The Office Shortcut Bar does not appear on the Task List when it is running on Windows NT 3.51.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

The Task List shows all applications that are currently running except for the Office Shortcut Bar. To close the Office Shortcut Bar, use the following steps:

  1. Press ALT+TAB to switch to the bar.

  2. Press ALT+F4.

  3. Use the right mouse button to click the Office 95 icon, and then click exit on the shortcut menu.
