How to Turn Off Sound for the Online Getting Results Book

SUMMARY

Most of the actions in the online Getting Results Book have an associated sound. You can turn the sound off temporarily while you read this documentation.

To turn the sound off while you use the online Getting Results Book:

  1. Click the Speaker icon on the Windows 95 taskbar.

  2. On the Volume Control menu, select the Mute check box to turn the sound off.

  3. Click another area of the screen.

A red circle with a slash will appear over the speaker icon.

NOTE: This disables all sounds until you clear the Mute check box.

For more information about controlling sound, click the Start button, then click Help. Click the Index tab, and type:

   sound, volume

Click on volume, adjusting and then click Display.
