Setup Error 797 CAUSEThis problem may occur when you attempt to install Microsoft Office on a computer that has a corrupted Windows 95 swap file, Win386.swp. Other Possible Causes
WORKAROUND
Swap FileTo work around the problem when you have a corrupted swap file, restart the computer in MS-DOS mode, delete the Win386.swp file in the Windows folder, and restart the computer. To do this, use the following steps:
Running ProgramsShut down any programs that are running, including TSR's and anti-virus programs. You may need to check for TSR's in Autoexec.bat, Config.sys, Win.ini and the Windows 95 registry.
Earlier Versions Of Microsoft OfficeIf there is an earlier version of Microsoft Office on your computer, it may need to be removed. To do this, use the following procedure.
MORE INFORMATIONIf the swap file is too small, then deleting the swap file will not correct the problem. You must create more free space on the hard disk, reset the swap file to a larger size, or create a swap file on a disk drive with more disk space, and restart Windows.
