OFF95: List of Networks Supported by Office for Win 95 Setup

The information in this article applies to:

• Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0

SUMMARY

The following networks and versions were tested by the Microsoft Setup group.

Type of network                       Supported configuration

Microsoft Networks                    Microsoft LAN Manager, versions 2.0,
                                      2.0b, 2.1, Microsoft Windows NT
                                      versions 3.51 or later, and
                                      Microsoft Windows 95

Novell NetWare, versions 3.x, 4.x     Office supports the 16-bit drivers,
                                      including Netx and VLM 1.2, as well
                                      as the Microsoft client for Novell
                                      Netware.

Banyan VINES versions 5.52 or later   You must have a 32-bit client.

LanTastic versions 6.0 or later       Office supports the 16-bit and the
                                      32-bit drivers.

Sun PC-NFS versions 5.1a or later     You must have a 32-bit client.
