The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you start File Manager in Windows NT 3.51 from the Office Shortcut Bar, you may be able to see files in a folder (directory) to which you have no permissions.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when the following conditions are met:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office versions 7.0a and 7.0b for Windows 95.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen you exercise backup and restore permissions, Windows NT allows you to bypass file security to back up files.
