SYMPTOMSWhen you install Office 7.0, an ~Oleapp.doc file may appear in the <drive>:\Temp folder (where <drive> is your hard disk drive). If you delete the file, and restart the computer, a new ~Oleapp.doc file appears in the folder.
CAUSEThis behavior occurs when the following conditions are met:
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, delete the Temp folder at the root level, and create a new temporary folder that is not at the root level of the hard disk. NOTE: Windows 95 defaults to the Windows\Temp folder for temporary files. Any other temporary file storage location is unnecessary unless another program requires it.
MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Office Fast Start is copied to the Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Folder when you install Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0. This utility increases the overall performance of Microsoft Office programs. The utility loads OLE and Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs) when you start a program; once OLE is loaded, it remains in memory for an entire Windows session.
