The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you perform a workstation setup of Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0 from a server that is running Novell Netware 4.02, the Setup program may incorrectly map the location of shared applications to a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path instead of a network drive letter.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when all of the following conditions are met:
RESOLUTIONRemove the workstation and administrative installations, install the 32-bit Microsoft Windows 95 Client for Netware Networks, perform an administrative setup, and run workstation setup again. To install the Microsoft Client for Netware Networks, follow these steps:
STATUSThis problem occurs when you install Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0, and you use Novell Netware version 4.02. This problem does not occur when you install Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0, and you use Novell Netware version 4.1.
