The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you use Office Assistant help, pressing ENTER may cause the Search to run, regardless of the button your mouse pointer is currently over.
CAUSEThe Search button is the default button in the Office Assistant help. Unless you click or activate another button, the Search button is active.
RESOLUTIONTo choose Tips, Options or Close in the Office Assistant help, click the option button for that selection. To select buttons using the keyboard, press the TAB key until the desired button's text is surrounded by a dotted rectangle (this indicates it is now the active button), and then press ENTER.
MORE INFORMATIONThe added functionality of mouseover (to hover or rest the mouse pointer) enables animation based on where the mouse is located on the screen. In the Office Assistant help, this animation appears to make a button active when the mouse pointer is placed over it. However, the button is not active unless it contains the dotted rectangle. If no button contains the dotted rectangle, the default button is selected when you press ENTER. In the Office Assistant help, the default button is the Search button.
