MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Internet Information Server (IIS), version 2.0, is included with Microsoft Windows NT Server, version 4.0. However, IIS is not automatically installed when you install Microsoft Windows NT Server on your computer's hard disk. The Setup programs for both Microsoft Office 97 and IIS 2.0 install ODBC- related files in the Winnt\System32 folder. Microsoft Office 97 installs later versions of ODBC files (version 3.0) than IIS 2.0 (version 2.5). Under normal circumstances, Setup will not replace newer files with older files. However, the IIS 2.0 Setup program does not check to see whether it is replacing newer ODBC files with older ones. Therefore, when you install IIS 2.0 after you install Microsoft Office 97, double-clicking the ODBC Data Source Administrator icon in Control Panel does not work. The earlier Odbccp32.dll and Odbcint.dll files installed by IIS 2.0 do not work correctly with the later versions of the ODBC files installed by Microsoft Office 97.
