SYMPTOMSWhen you run the Microsoft Office Setup program under Windows NT 3.51, the My Documents folder is not created. However, it is automatically created after you start one of the Microsoft Office programs listed at the beginning of this article.
CAUSEThis behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

MORE INFORMATIONThe My Documents folder is the default file location for the Microsoft Office 97 programs under Microsoft Windows NT version 3.51. The My Documents folder is created when you first start your Microsoft Office program and display the Open, Save, or Options dialog boxes. The My Documents folder is created even if you change the default file location to a different folder. To change the default file location, use the following appropriate methods.
