OFF97: Equation Editor 3.0 Toolbar Disappears

SYMPTOMS

When you place the mouse pointer over the Microsoft Equation Editor, version 3.0, title bar while the Focus feature in Microsoft IntelliPoint software is selected, Equation Editor disappears.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when you open Equation Editor from within any program in Microsoft Office 97.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, make the Focus feature unavailable in IntelliPoint. To do this, use the following steps:

  1. In the Control Panel, double-click Mouse, and then click the StepSavers tab.

  2. Click the "Select a window just by pointing at the title bar" check box to clear it.

  3. Click OK.
